Mixed blessings today, wind did change from northwest to northeast, but so did we. The wind didn't seem as unrelenting today and we rode through some beautiful country which is the norm.
Lovely stretch across top of some hills this morning, saw some cows masquerading as goats, and enjoyed the rolling views. It is encouraging no to be struggling against the weather. Today is the warmest yet too with temp going up to 24 deg!
We rode around Bristol today, not through the busy town but through the downs on the city fringe, lunching below a water tower on the downs. It is disappointing to some extent that we don't stop for longer in the towns but then the ride would take a few months rather than a few weeks. We don't miss everything though as we are staying just near Tintern Abbey tonight and it is magnificent.
