A week to go before we head off to the States. So much time, so little left to do... I know that sounds the wrong way round but I did start packing a few weeks ago.
Got the new bike, love the new bike. Thursday I took delivery of the lightweight bag to get the bicycle on the plane and so far so good. I may post pictures when I get it right. I took the bike apart, stripped it of the bits not going with me (wooden mudguards, wooden bottle cage, etc etc), did a packing trial and put it back together again. It was with great relief that I found everything went together as it should and all the gears worked. Phew, what a relief.Decisions remaining - should I revisit my packing or just close the case? What will I do for a couple of days after the Grand Canyon trip and before flying to Washington DC? [Probably Santa Monica] How short will I get my hair cut on Thursday?
