LEJOG D4

One day the bike will run perfectly, today the frame creaks and the handlebars are stiff. Can ride it though,  so could be worse I suppose.  It is another mostly sunny day, but the wind (yes northerly) is cool.
The hills are less steep and the downhill runs longer and my knees still work so overall not too bad a day.

We had a couple of stretches beside moors that gave us spectacular views.

Either the camera or the photographer doesn't do this justice.
We rode through villages that look like everything you've  seen in TV shows, past interesting signs, a beautiful thatched lodge, the biggest rhubarb patch ever and between wonderful sheltering hedgerows.

And finished the day in the local bike shop where the mechanic removed a bit of grit from inside the head stem, put a drop of grease between the spacers and I am back on a quiet bike with handlebars that I don't feel I'm fighting all the time. Hip hip hooray

One stop shop

Really has everything in one spot too

What a roof

Shade sun and shelter
